The Mezőföld is one of the oldest and most fertile regions of Hungary, defined by its vast loess plateaus, rolling fields, and mosaic-like wetlands. For centuries, this landscape has been known as the granary of the country, where natural resources and human perseverance have formed a close alliance.
At the heart of this rich cultural landscape lies the Anna Hall Estate — not merely an agricultural enterprise, but the living continuation of the historic lands that once surrounded the Zichy Manor of Nagyhörcsök.

Most of today's farm lies on the former lands of the manor, so every field and every patch of forest carries the memory of the past.
Our main activity is arable crop production — the excellent soils and favorable climate of the Mezőföld allow us to produce traditional grains with modern, environmentally friendly technologies.
In our work, we regard the fertile land not merely as an economic resource, but as a cultural and ecological treasure.
The estate, however, is more than cultivated land. It also includes forests, streams, meadows, and ponds that evoke the ancient landscape and serve no direct economic purpose. Their preservation is a conscious decision: our goal is to maintain local biodiversity and preserve the natural unity of the historic estate.
The waterways, birdlife, and old groves form the heart of the landscape — a heritage we wish to pass on to future generations in its unaltered beauty.

While we preserve the values of the past, we also look toward the future. The Anna Hall Estate is constantly looking for new directions and opportunities to respond to the challenges of global climate change, the rapidly shifting agricultural market, and the transformation of rural life.
We are working on experimental crops, alternative plant cultures, and the implementation of sustainable farming models, so that the estate not only protects its heritage, but also remains a viable and innovative enterprise for generations to come.
Thus, the Annavár Estate stands as both a historic heritage and a living, evolving landscape — a meeting point of respect for the past and faith in the future, where land, nature, and human endeavour exist in harmonious unity.
